Who are we?
- The Saskatchewan Dutch Elm Disease Association (SDEDA), first established in 1980, was formally incorporated as a non-profit organization in February 1998.
- Since 1994, the SDEDA has served as an advisory body to Saskatchewan Environment's Dutch elm disease program.
Our Mandate
- The mandate of the organization is "To preserve the American elm in Saskatchewan".
Our Activities
- One of our most important objectives is to increase public awareness of Dutch elm disease. We do this by participating in trade shows all around the province, tree planting projects, presentations to community groups and school visits.
- Communities and organizations from across the province participate in our annual workshop.
- The SDEDA also facilitates DED research & management programs.
- Posters, brochures and fact sheets are available upon request.
